It can look like progress on the surface,
doing the self-work, gathering tools, talking things through, repeating affirmations.
There’s effort, intention, even insight.

But awareness is the pivot point.
Without it, effort can keep the same patterns alive.
Looping happens when insight stays cognitive, not embodied.
When the language shifts, but the nervous system doesn’t.
When familiar behaviours repeat because they still feel safe, even when they no longer serve.
This is where tools like Reiki become powerful, after awareness is present.
Reiki doesn’t force change.
It supports regulation.
By calming the nervous system, it creates the internal safety needed to choose differently.
Not from willpower, but from capacity.
Not from fixing, but from integration.
Behaviour change doesn’t happen because we ‘know better.’
It happens when the body feels safe enough to respond in a new way.
If it feels like you’re trying and nothing is shifting, it doesn’t mean you’re failing.
You may simply be at the edge of a loop,
and with awareness and the right support, that edge is where real change begins.
