Discernment isn’t distance

Discernment isn’t distance.
It isn’t antisocial.
It’s awareness.

It doesn’t take long conversations to sense what someone’s energy is showing. Sometimes silence reveals more than words ever could. Sometimes simply being present is enough to feel what’s genuine, and what isn’t.
It’s not about judging people.
It’s about noticing.
Noticing inconsistencies.
Noticing intentions.
Noticing what isn’t said, just as much as what is.
Discernment is quiet. It doesn’t need proof, announcements, or confrontation. It simply understands.
And it also understands this
Other people’s actions, behaviors, and perceptions often reflect their own inner world, their wounds, fears, and unmet needs. You have the choice to not make it about you. Not everything is personal.
Travel light.
The hardest part is this, once you see the truth, you can’t unsee it. You can’t ignore the shift you felt. You can’t force yourself back into comfort with something your spirit has already questioned.
It’s a gift, but it comes with responsibility.
Because awareness changes how you move, who you trust, and what you allow.
And once clarity arrives, there’s no returning to who you were before you understood.
Not everything is yours to carry, and discernment reminds you to travel light.
